Get to Know Dr. Sivaraman

Dr. Kavitha Sivaraman is a cataract and corneal surgeon. Originally from Salt Lake City, Utah, she completed her undergraduate education at the University of Southern California, where she was valedictorian of her graduating class. She went on to complete her medical education at Washington University in St. Louis, where she was a Philpot Family Scholar and elected into the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. She completed her ophthalmology residency at the Illinois Eye and Ear Infirmary at the University of Illinois at Chicago and was selected to be chief resident in her final year. Her fellowship in cornea and external disease was completed at the prestigious Bascom Palmer Eye Institute at the University of Miami (Miami, FL).

Dr. Sivaraman is committed to providing individualized and compassionate care. Her clinical interests include cataract surgery, corneal transplantation, and the medical treatment of corneal diseases. She is active in both clinical research and resident and fellow teaching. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking, exploring the outdoors and spending time with her husband and two young children.
